POSITION OVERVIEW:
As an on-premise focused brewery, the customer’s experience in our taproom is the key to our success. We will strive to make the customer feel like they are a part of our brewery through a friendly, inviting, and comfortable environment and by creating an engaging and personal interaction with every guest that walks through our doors. Our tap room manager will serve as the leader to create and implement guidelines that allow taproom employees to provide the best possible service and hospitality to guests. We expect the taproom manager to lead daily front of house operations and to set a positive and motivating example for taproom staff. This is a full-time, salaried position that requires a responsible, self-sufficient, creative, and hardworking individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to constantly learn and grow.
GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain a relaxing and comfortable space that adheres to brand taproom standards
- Review all customer feedback and reviews and handle all escalated customer service issues
- Manage food truck schedule and creating and maintaining relationships with local food establishments that partner with the taproom
- Seek out and execute event opportunities to strengthen community and guest engagement
- Coach staff through clear communication of expectations and regular interactions
- Assess taproom staff training and resources needs, provide individual staff prompt feedback regarding any performance or behavioral issues as well as supportive encouragement for improvements and success
- Ensure that taproom staff are following all service expectations to meet guests needs quickly and efficiently and make them feel welcome and important
- Determine and be adaptive, observant, and reactive to labor needs based on seasonal changes and POS data
- Assist with finding, interviewing, hiring and terminating front of house employees
- Understand and enforce all regulations and practices to create a safe environment for both guests and co-workers
- Develop and continually evolve all training processes and SOPs to align with changing processes, procedures, and service models
- Maintain a taproom budget and understand financial objectives as they relate to overall brewery goals
- Manage, maintain, and restock inventory for all front of house items
- Help build the brewery brand through new merchandise creation and sales initiatives
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
- 2+ years customer service or hospitality management experience, preferably in the food/beverage industry, with experience in purchasing, inventory controls, budgetary controls, personnel management, and process improvement
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak effectively to guests, co-workers and leadership and both receive and provide constructive feedback
- Calm demeanor and ability to work under pressure or when dealing with difficult guests
- Ability to anticipate and proactively address problems in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and ability to work with a diverse set of people
- Basic familiarity with tablet-based POS systems and other web-based / MS Office software
- Availability to work full-time, including nights and weekends, with an average of 3-4 scheduled floor shifts
- Ability to pass a background check
- TIPS alcohol training certificate (or equivalent) required upon start date
- Ability to lift 35-50 lbs and move full kegs (165 lbs) with the aid of a dolly
- 21 years of age
SALARY: Based on previous job experience, range: $40,000-45,000 plus tips, two weeks paid vacation and 48 hours of accrued sick leave.

ABOUT PUBLIC OFFERING BREWING COMPANY: We are a start-up brewery located along the S. Broadway corridor in the Platte Park/Rosedale/Overland neighborhood of Denver with an anticipated opening in early September. We will operate a 10BBL, two vessel brewhouse with a focus towards on-premises sales by welcoming, serving and engaging our neighbors and the surrounding communities to the best of our abilities. You won’t find us on the internet yet; we’ll be launching our website and social media in June. However, we’ll make every effort possible for all interviews will take place on location to allow candidates to get a feel for our space, brand, etc.
