MetraAV’s Big Dog Power Is in the Spotlight at CEDIA Expo
Channeling their inner Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis comedic talents, Brent McCall and Adam Rogers of MetraAV offered up a preview of what the company has in store for its booth #10009 at CEDIA Expo 2022 in Dallas.
“We’ve got two very large displays at the show for Big Dog Power,” says Rogers. “We are going to be showing off how it works, give you some details, give you an opportunity to ask some questions about the product, as well as be able to put some hands on the actual product.”
McCall and Rogers, who post a training video called MetraAV Tech Tips every Wednesday at 3 p.m. on the company’s YouTube channel, ebulliently point out there are some very unique features about the Big Dog Power product that dealers will enjoy. Specifically, the surge protection modules within the unit are fully replaceable. There will be more information about the replacement ability at CEDIA Expo.
The MetraAV booth will also be showcasing an array of products that work with HDMI 2.1, including cables, extenders and splitters.
“With copper, fiber and AOC, there’s a lot going on that’s going to make your job simpler, more reliable and more profitable,” says McCall, who notes that as of yet there is not a solution available to handle 48 Gig signals over an extender.
The MetraAV booth at CEDIA Expo 2022 is directly across the aisle from Crestron upfront in the exhibit hall. McCall says that just about everybody from the tech and sales teams from the company will be on hand in Dallas so integrators will be able to put faces with the names of the people they have probably spoken to in the past.
The setup in the booth will be the backdrop for recording or live streaming an episode of MetraAV Tech Tips during the show.
McCall encourages dealers to stop by and share their testimonials and experiences for the episode.
“What you see on MetraAV Tech Tips is what we are like in real life,” quips McCall. He jokes that despite the crazy antics of the two, we are still trying to get you to come see us.
