1. An Australian Shepherd named Oscar worth thousands of dollars was reportedly stolen after a burglary in Lake Nona on July 4, according to the Orlando Police Department. If you have any information that could help get Oscar back to his owner, you can call call OPD’s non-emergency line at 321-235-5300 or the anonymous tip line Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477). 2. A man was shot and killed late Monday night in Orange County. Deputies were called to the 8400 block of South Orange Blossom Trail just before midnight and found a man in his 20s suffering from gunshot wounds, who later died. (WESH)
3. Volusia County deputies said an 18-year-old on the run from police crashed into a synagogue on Monday. The accused, Johnny Santiago, is facing a long list of criminal charges. His father who is also being sought, Juan Santiago, is still missing. Neither Johnny Santiago nor his mother are cooperating with law enforcement. (WFTV, Click Orlando)
4. Several aviation businesses at Kissimmee Gateway Airport are working to train new professionals amid a shortage of pilots and works in the industry. Pilot qualifications include earning a pilot license and then accumulating flying time. (Osceola News-Gazette)
5. Footage from the Florida Highway Patrol shows a Flagler County commissioner talking back to troopers after he was pulled over for speeding. Commissioner Joe Mullins was allegedly traveling 89 mph in a 60 mph zone and attempted to use his position to avoid a ticket unsuccessfully. (Click Orlando)
