In this article, I shared my experience when I worked as a Solutions Engineer at Dell. Solutions Engineering is a job that can be very fulfilling if you are passionate about solving problems, speaking with customers, and keeping yourself always studying and learning about cool and trendy technologies.

One of the questions I get the most in events, workshops and from my mentees that want to explore this field is: “ok, Mariana, but how do I start?”. There are many ways one can land a job in Solutions Engineering.

First, remember that Solutions Engineer is a job title that can also be seen as Systems Engineer, Customer Engineer, Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, among others.

Understanding the terminology will help you when you are searching for jobs and positions.
